The Proficiency Exam, also known as the Preparation Exemption/Completion/Exemption Exam, is an advanced-level exam administered to students at the end of the year at English preparatory schools of universities.

It is designed to assess students' proficiency in English after one year of intensive preparation.

Proficiency exams vary from university to university.

Some universities assess students' four language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing), while others do not conduct a speaking test. Therefore, it is crucial to know which university the student is attending and to gather information about the exam implemented by that university to guide the student more accurately.
